Coral Mushrooms

Coral Mushrooms abound on the trail. You can eat them, we didn't.

Basalt

Supposedly some Italian engineers blasted this trail with dynamite around the same time they were building the now historic Columbia gorge highway. You can tell the trail in some places is definitely man made.
